Tuesday, December 26th CLOSED FOR NEW YEAR’S Thursday we will focus our attention on the nursery rhyme, Do you know the muffin man? Friday we will read and act out the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. Wednesday is Little Jack Horner Day, where we will be learning the nursery rhyme. Monday and Tuesday we will be closed for the Christmas holidays. We will be having a peppermint taste test, and everyone is encouraged to wear their PJs.ĭecember 25-29 Nursery Rhymes Week. ![]() ![]() Friday is a cozy, yummy day: Pajamas and Peppermint Day. Thursday we will be reading If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Wednesday we will be exploring the twinkle of Christmas lights. On Tuesday we will be making Magic Reindeer Food to encourage these Christmas visitors at your house. Monday will be focusing on Gingerbread Men. Friday is Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes.ĭecember 18-22 This week we will be talking about the Spirit of Christmas. Thursday we will be reviewing our favorite nursery rhyme, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. Wednesday is Horseshoe Day, where we will be doing a variety of activities involving horseshoes. Tuesday will focus our attention on Candles, The Flame Lights the Way. We will also be talking about Barnes & Stables this week. It is also the first pajama day of the month and family breakfast.ĭecember 11-15 Our letter of the week is H-Horse, take me for a ride, of course. Pick a template you like, then add photos and artwork to show off how your students have been spending their time. Friday we will focus on the number 5 (in Spanish, Cinco), our number for the month. Parents love to hear about what their kids are doing and see them in action provide that for them with a custom newsletter designed using our child care newsletter templates. Thursday is Red and White Day (Rojo and Blanco in Spanish). Wednesday we will learn the nursery rhyme Hickory Dickory Dock. Tuesday we will learn about rodents, in general. Monday we will be talking about the letter “G,” as in Gopher. Somehow (Ha! Ha!), the children know about the Santa and gift giving part of Christmas and don’t seem to need any extra stimulation in this area!Ĭlick on the weekly links below for additional details about daily activities your preschooler is participating in.ĭecember 4-8 Our letter of the week is G-Gopher, I dig for I’m no loafer. We learn about the feelings, textures, colors and smells (cinnamon, pine…) and the symbols (candles, stars, bells…) that make this part of the year so special.
